Memories of My Melancholy Whores
Chapter 1:
The story begins when a man start to talk about his recently 90 years, he thinks that he should be with a virgin, to stole her virtue, he calls Rosa Cabarcas, owner of a brothel which the main character used to going for many years before, he ordered a virgin woman and Rosa hesitate long in getting her, but promised to found.
He was an old man who worked as a columnist for “The Diary of Peace”, every Friday he gave his production to be published later on Sunday.
Waiting any news from Rosa Cabarcas, he didn’t lunch; she called him telling that he got that someone would spend the night of his birthday, but there was a problem, this was a girl of only 14 years old, did not care. He dressed very smart, took a taxi and came to a little village. There, Rosa Cabarcas noticed him that she was numbed for a drink that gave her. He entered and found the girl completely naked, he went to the bathroom, undressed and he fall asleep; next day he paid the girl although he did not get what he wanted.
Chapter 2:
This character has to write this book, or rather memories, in the library of his parents. He lives without any animal, the only company that has at home a few days is Damiana.
One day while this gentleman walked, entered a wrong door and he surprised to find Ximena Ortiz with few clothes. He never felt true love for this woman, but if a bad temptation. He asked her to marry him, two months after the wedding day he felt he would not, he would not marry Ximena. This day was late, they were ringing the phone, knock on the door and he did not respond in any way. Ximena left the country. Not heard anything about her until 20 years later.
Later, sitting in his living room with cat gave him for his birthday, he called Rosa Cabarcas asking the girl; said that at ten at home.
Chapter 3:
“I did not know how was called the girl”, Rosa never told, so would guess, and concluded that this was long. He was with her in bed, sweating in droves, he dried her with towel, as she sang the song Delgadina, apparently when he sang, she is exalted, she was Delgadina.
Rosa gave a story that left him perplexed, because the girl could not be with him at Christmas, as she shared with her family.
Chapter 4:
In the New Year Delgadina and he had more confidence, he read stories and literature, gave her jewels, and felt he shared with her was a pleasant experience.
In one night he shared with his beloved, Rosa interrupted, there was one dead in a room, was a banker and need his help to dress him since that incident Rosa is gone, not answering the phone and the brothel is sealed. It anguish at not seeing his child, began a search for the people, went to the factory where she worked Rosa said.
After a month of what happened called Rosa, he asked for Delgadina, gave no information. The same day in the afternoon he called again, invites you to come to his home to see his little girl again.
At ten o'clock he went to the house, saw Delgadina was more developed physically, full of jewels, beside the bed he found a sequined dress, when he saw all this he imagined a lot of things, and he shouted: Puta!. He makes destruction in the room.
Rosa explained that all I had was hers. He did not believe her.
Chapter 5:
He met an old friend, Casilda Armenta, invite her to his home. She told him the whole story with Delgadina. She advised him out behind her. He had to pay all the damages made that night.
He went to a concert at Bellas Artes, who became the last of his life. There he met Ximena Ortiz, greeting, did not recognize him, recalled that in that place was his first adventure in love.
Later he calls Rosa to ask the same old thing, the girl, she replied that it was not possible. At the time she called him, she said that girl was already.
There he was with her, felt they were his last breaths. Rosa and he at the end of the book make a bet, which last longer stays alive with the belongings of another.
